The Hope-4-Hope Garden is a youth led garden that harvests and donates to Hope House Ministries, who then distributes the fresh vegetables to those in need. They started their 120ftx40ft garden for the needy in summer of 2015, and have provided over 400 pounds of fresh vegetables for those in need. They have planted a variety of vegetables including tomatoes, okra, squash, zucchini, cucumber, purple hull peas, and peppers. Volunteers range in age from 5-17 and are responsible for planning, weeding, harvesting, and delivering the fresh vegetables. Volunteers gain valuable gardening skills and children receive the benefits of having fresh food to eat and the inspiration to grow their own food.
